Wizdom's ClassroomLive! Helps Teachers and Administrators
focus on Helping Students in Chicago Public Schools (CPS)
Early Childhood Education Program, Head Start, Preschool for All
Web-based classroom management program helps teachers spend less time on paperwork, more time on children to improve education for students with disabilities
August 22 2007, Naperville, Illinois – Wizdom Education, the premier source for special education software and services, continues to support the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Head Start Program with Wizdom’s ClassroomLive! ClassroomLive! is used by teachers and administrators in over 231 classrooms, affecting 6,000 students enrolled in the program. Originally installed in early 2005, Wizdom recently made updates and functionality additions to ClassroomLive! at CPS Schools. In addition, ClassroomLive! has been expanded to support the Pre-School for All program.
The CPS Head Start Program chose Wizdom’s ClassroomLive! to provide teachers and administrators with timely, electronic access to commonly-used classroom forms. This will help schools and administrative offices avoid the high costs and time-consuming delays that can occur when moving materials and managing forms via manual methods.
Wizdom’s ClassroomLive! provides a central, online location for the CPS Head Start Program’s training resource management and record keeping. Teachers and administrators log on with secure web-based access to the latest information regarding materials, programs, and events. Each teacher/administrator has personal online folders, maintains his/her own online calendar, and can access a community calendar of events as well. Teachers and administrators also receive online alerts about important events and potential problems, and can participate in online discussions from anywhere that they have internet access.
"Wizdom is dedicated to helping the CPS Early Childhood Program, including Head Start and Preschool for All, to improve both delivery and management of important programs," says Phil Vitkus, Wizdom's Director of Instructional Services.
